Going formal in glasses can be tricky. Some people immediately venture into the world of "stones" or rimless when they want to put on the ritz, while others feel like going bold is the way to go. Also, the question of what jewelry will complement your frame without competing with it inevitably comes up. While I tend to leave the stones for my ear lobes and not for my temples, I have the same dilemma every glasses wearer does when it's time for a night on the town. Should I go thick, strong, and bold in a black cat like Meryl Streep, or should I got incognito in a sweet, lighter look? For my sister's wedding I chose one of my favorites from Mykita. The Holly is bold but feminine and strong but sweet and I couldn't resist pairing finger waves with oversized studs and one of my absolute favorite frames for a dressed up and fancy look.
*Note the absence of dangling earrings. Don't go "crazy art teacher" on everyone and never let your earrings compete with the fabulousness that is sitting right on your face.
