Tony Stark Wears Matsuda Well

I had the pleasure of giggling at Tony Stark's one liners last night during Iron Man 3 and had even more fun pointing out all of the fab Matsuda frames he sported to my boyfriend...

"(Enter Girlfriend in crowded theater):

(she leans in and whispers) - Hey, I sold that one to a guy two days ago. 

(a little louder) - OMG, I'm getting that one for myself in matte black, probably not with a red lens though...

(pretty loud inside voice) - Look at the detail at the temple. Gorgeous."

I was so excited to see these frames showcased on the big screen and for luxury eyewear to get the spotlight. I mean, Tony Stark is a billionaire, right? Kudos to the stylists who picked appropriate eyewear for our favorite super hero. SH approves and annoys moviegoers in the process.

Frame of the Week: Anne Et Valentin Scarlet

Scarlet Via Anne...

You know you're pushing thirty (well, on the bad side of twenty-five) when it's Thursday and the Bachelorette party from last weekend, at which you did not even drink, is still slowing you down. Feeling a little weak after late nights and watching those male dancers, I'm definitely in need of non-hangover "hangover shades". The right amount of sass with a dash of sweetness, I love the Scarlett from Anne et Valentin. Gorgeous in every color combination, this sweet sunny will not only cover up my dark circles, it might help me look innocent after the debauchery that was my big sister's Bachelorette! Cheers to beautiful shades and a quicker recovery.

If You Don't Like Slutty Leather We Shouldn't Be Friends

Slutty Leather?

This weekend happens to be my sister Susie's Bachelorette Party! In preparation for the big weekend I sent out an itinerary outlining all of the weekend's plans, including naked men in cowboy hats, really good Tex-Mex, a lingerie party, etc...in hopes of getting a few laughs I added the appropriate attire for each event and noted that Saturday night would be the big night out and let the girls know not to be afraid of "getting a little slutty"...I also thought it would be funny to say that "Susie said she would be wearing leather." I sent it out to thirty girls and apparently left a period or underscore off of a certain G-mail address and after several "Reply Alls" from the gang, an incorrect recipient responded by saying "I don't know who you are or why you are sending me these things, but you have the wrong person. I am not interested in your slutty leather"...

I applauded her response, urged her to spam my E-mail address, and apologized for the inconvenience. Moral of the story...not everyone likes slutty leather. Or jokes about slutty leather. Who knew???

So...here is some relatively conservative leather by DKNY that would be perfect for a rehearsal dinner or maybe a "Bachelorette Tea" - paired with Marry Me shades from Oliver Goldsmith, a clutch from Marni, and Charlotte Olympia shoes that make me wish I had better "stiletto endurance" - this one's for you, Sue. Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials! See you Saturday - I'll be the girl in the turtleneck and pantsuit or maybe something from Balmain. XO!
